Who is this machinery for green spaces for?
Our machinery for green spaces was designed in cooperation with the technical and urban ecology departments of cities and local communities. These small towns are the main users of this machinery which is an alternative to chemical, manual, or thermal weeding. Cemeteries, parks, and public gardens, outdoor sports facilities, etc. all need to be weeded in compliance with the French eco-plant protection plan.
However, they are not the only users. It can be towed by a micro-tractor and used in any location with stabilised surfaces to be restructured, damaged by overuse or bad weather, landscape architects and the caretakers of stately home parks and gardens also use it.
Why choose our machinery for green spaces?
The Ecosol has numerous practical and agro-ecological advantages directly linked to the needs of its users and their soil.
An eco-friendly alternative
Indeed, the French eco-plant protection plan, which aims to reduce the use of chemical pesticides and weedkillers, initially forced towns to rethink their way of working. Since manual weeding is tedious and expensive in terms of labour costs, mechanical weeding was the most cost-effective solution possible.
Multifunctional equipment
The Ecosol mechanical weeder is very versatile and considerably reduces the tediousness of the task. It can halve the time spent on weeding maintaining healthy surfaces in line with all Actisol machinery.
A precision tool
For meticulous mechanical weeding from the first millimetres, this easy-to-use machinery for green spaces does not require great traction power because it does not require PTO. Fossil fuel consumption is therefore lower..
How does the versatile Ecosol work?
The Actisol’s teeth
Fitted with a double row of teeth with shear bolts or shock absorbers, the Ecosol ensures they pass safely over obstacles inherent to stabilised or sandy surfaces. Equipped with flat and very fine sharp blades, the weeds are cut at the crown across the entire width of this machinery for green spaces. A control wheel allows you to adjust the tool’s working depth.
The harrow
Behind the teeth, a double-row spring comb harrow rakes the soil surface, extirpating the rest of the cut vegetation. These combs, which work vertically, also aerate the surface and facilitate the penetration of rainwater.
In order to work as close as possible to the edges, an adjustable concave disc positioned laterally on the frame allows you to redraw the paths very precisely.
The roller
A solid control roller, which stabilises the Ecosol, is located behind the combs. An oblong adjustment system gives it flexibility and allows it to follow the ground contour. It is fitted with a scraper bar which cleans it in wet conditions.
The levelling mat
Finally, a spiral levelling and finishing mat evens out the work of the teeth and combs, leaving a smooth and airy surface. Each of the Ecosol’s components can be adjusted independently to the others. A hydraulic offset option is also available (left, right, or mixed).
The Ecosol advantage +
In addition to mechanical weeding, Ecosol cracks and rakes sandy or stabilised surfaces, which makes it the Swiss army knife of small towns and landscapers.
