What is a high-clearance tractor?

A straddle tractor is an elevated wine-growing tractor designed specifically to work on the narrow rows of vines, as close as possible to the vines, without damaging them. Straddling one or two rows, the straddle tractor, as its name suggests, straddles the vines by passing over one or two rows.

Depending on the model, can be used to carry out a wide range of tasks: pre-pruning, soil cultivation, vine maintenance, treatment, shredding vine shoots, leaf thinning, spreading, etc. They have become indispensable for narrow vineyards, and offer a wide range of power, comfort and options to suit the needs of each grower. Some farms also use it on wide vines.

Actisol has developed a whole range of products for straddle tractors, adapted to different cultivation methods. With rollers, tines, hydro-blades, decompactor arms and track eradicating wheels, you can carry out all types of soil work.

Description and installation of the Actisol’s Straddle tractor adaptation:

The Actisol straddle tractor can be fitted with fine teeth or a decompactor arm, depending on your choice.

1 -Fine tooth adaptation :

Several models of fine teeth are available to suit your needs:

– Curved extension on 50 mm square: short, long or micro

– Vertical extension on 50 mm square: short, long or micro

– Tooth on flanges: B1 or micro

– Tooth on gogue: B1 or micro

These are fitted with the unique Actisol fissuring system, ensuring penetration into the soil even in difficult conditions. They respect the soil horizons without disturbing them or causing soil to rise. The organic matter is not diluted, so it remains available for the vines. A shockwave effect is transmitted to the point thanks to a secure double spring system that improves cracking in compact soils.

Our tooth can be mounted in a number of ways and are usually installed on a perch between the wheels. The tines can be adapted in several ways.

A 70×70 frame can be fitted to a straddle tractor fitted with a 50 gogue. The frame can be fitted with flange-mounted tooth or extensions, provided that in the latter case, gogues are added to the frame to allow them to slide in.

In the case of a straddle carrier fitted with a 50 mm square, the tooth can be fixed directly to the gogue.

2 -Decompactor arm adaptation:

The decompactor arm is a teeth on a gogue to which weights are added in order to penetrate the soil more deeply and decompact any footings.

It is mounted on a straddle carrier fitted with a 50 mm square.
